Boo to you, too!

This was the first year that Sam was into picking out a Halloween costume, so I decided to let him get whatever he wanted. Well, even when he warned me that he wanted something scary, I never imagined that my loving little boy would choose something so demonic! After all, this is a child that can't fall asleep without hugging his Bible AND can name Christian singers by sight and sound.

He did have a great time trick-or-treating, as well as handing out candy, as the "Gate Keeper"!

Party time!

Sam couldn't wear his scary "Gate Keeper" costume to school, so he was a fireman! We made lollipop ghosts for all his friends.

He got to go trick-or-treat at all of the classrooms. Ms. Valerie dressed up as a clown!

Sam and his best (girl)friend, Reagan, painted pumpkins together.

IT'S A BOY!!!

10 fingers, 10 toes, a four-chambered heart and a brain with 2 sections...that's all we really needed to know. He is already 11" long and 13 oz.

The pics above show the profile and the face. I think he's beautiful!!

New wheels

Sam has a new bike at his Meme and Dede's house. He also got all the necessary safety gear.

Pumpkin Head

Sam was excited to finally "carve" his pumpkin this year. Actually, we found a kit with plastic nails that you hammer into the pumpkin and when it's lit, they glow. Since hammering is one of Sam's favorite past times, he loved it!

I think it turned out pretty cool, too.

Little Gardener

Abby loves to chew on my house plants, so Sam grew her some cat grass. Now she can eat her greens without getting trouble! (She loves it, too.)

Disaster Area

This is what a 3-year old's playroom looks like after a rainy day! You won't hear us complain, though. We really need this rain.

Sam's sick day

So much for the Taste of Acworth and the Pumpkinfest.

Poor little Sam has double-ear infections. He had to get a strong antibiotic shot in both legs this morning! It left him feeling "sad", as he put it, so he's taking it easy. (Abby is always willing to keep him company!)

Moving right along!

pregnancy calendar
We just had a doctor's appointment and everything is still going well. See the picture above for "stats" on the baby!

Daddy's birthday!

Sam was soooo excited for his daddy's birthday that he could hardly wait for Neil to get home from work! He helped me bake cookies, make dinner and he even decorated the gift bag.

Pumpkin Picking

We visited Berry Patch Farms' Pumpkin Patch over the weekend. It was a beautiful day, and Sam had a lot of fun searching for the perfect pumpkin.

Fall Festival Fun!

We went to Folk Tales of the Rails and the Fall Festival at First Baptist of Kennesaw with some of our friends. Sam and Madison had a great time on the inflatables and playing games. They also rode on a hayride and dug for treasure with some pirates!

Scooter Boy

Sam LOVES anything with wheels, so I knew this scooter would be a big hit. He is "practicing" by going back and forth across our driveway, and he hasn't gotten hurt yet!

I'm hoping that he will master it by Spring, so he can accompany me and the baby when we stroll around the neighborhood.

School Days

Sam wanted to play teacher so he set up my "classroom" and gave me letters to trace and pictures to color. (He said I did a great job.) I learned about cell phones and bikes, too.

We even finished up with story time!

The Camp Out

It was a bit warm, but Sam and Neil camped out in the backyard just the same! We even roasted marshmallows with our neighbors before they turned in for the night.

Sam is such a big helper these days!

Decorations in October

I am sponsoring the Legacy Park Moms' Group in this year's Christmas Tree Decorating Contest in Kennesaw. Our theme is "Mommy & Me", so all of the children will make decorations with their moms. Sam and I have already started on our contribution!

The winner will be picked December 6th! Come see our tree next to the Depot.

Sam the Builder

Sam decided to build a rocket (like his Uncle Phil) and went right to work! He has great hand-eye coordination, so hammering is a snap.
