Friday Fragments?

We have a new member of the family! His name is Leo.

We had a betta for two years and it was so (surprisingly) sad when he passed away. Leo is fitting in nicely and is so beautiful now that he's in a bowl full of clean water and eating regularly. It really takes so little to please a fish.

Sam has had a stomach virus much of this week, so we've stayed in a lot. Looks like he is finally getting back to himself, which I'm so happy about. Since he's normally 100MPH all the time, it's really hard to see him just lie around all day. I'm also happy about the fact that he's now at the age that he can run to the toilet when he needs to, and make it most of the time.

The weather has been so great here for July. We've spent as much time outside as possible. (I just know August is going to be brutal!) Neil and Sam even camped out last weekend. They set the tent up in the middle of our backyard, lit a fire and roasted marshmallows.

Luke is my current excuse when Sam wants me to camp with him. I won't be able to use that for long, though. I know Luke will love "roughing it" just as much as his big brother. We never camped when I was growing up, so it doesn't appeal to me at all. Really. Not even in my own backyard.

I finally made the leap to Firefox, since IE continues to have those dreaded error-issues with blogger. I was so nervous to change for some weird reason, but it's been nothing but smooth. I totally recommend it if you're having issues with your browser. It's free and easy to download.

My boys love trucks. All trucks. Last year the city repaved our street and Sam got such a kick out of seeing it. Well, they decided to pave another portion earlier this week and Luke couldn't have been happier.

It takes some really strange looking machines to get the job done.

Lastly, here is a little comparison of Sam and Luke.
(Both around 16-months old.)

I hear that August may be extra warm but then you never know what to expect when in July it is 72 currently when it would be in mid 80s heading higher normally

I love the part of camping that is sitting around a campfire, chatting and making smores. The sleeping on the ground, hoping no bugs get you, part? not so much.

Leo is very pretty, and both of your boys are VERY handsome!

Poor Sam, I'm glad he's feeling better.

We use Firefox too. I love it!

I love that side by side comparison of the boys, I think they look alike, yet so different. Very cute!

your boys are so cute! We are hoping to camp in August but the weather has been so cold, especially the mornings. Hope your summer is super fun!

I grew up camping and did some in my early twenties too, but I'm done with it! I'm not sure I've ever actually liked to camp - but my family did and my husband used to. I'm so glad that he agrees now that a bed and heat and running water are worth the cost of a hotel room! ;)

Those little guys are SO CUTE! I love the comparison photos - what gorgeous eyes they both have!

I love fish but I've never had good luck with them.:(

Don't you just LOVE Firefox? I can hardly remember life without it now.

Love to hear camping stories from other people but would rather have my fingernails pulled out then do it myself. My idea of roughing it? A hotel that DOESN'T put chocolates on your pillow!

Welcome Leo!

Isn't Firefox so much better. I was afraid to switch too. I don't know why, but now I just get irritated with IE when I have to use it at work. It sucks.

Have a great weekend!

SO did you have to uninstall IE? I'm thinking of switching too - is it a big adjustment? Glad that Sam is feeling better! No fun having the sickies.

Firefox is all I use anymore. We have an iMac so hubby prefers Safari, but I like the fox. It's probably been at least 10 years since I even laid eyes on IE. lol!

Trucks are such a big hit with kids. Even my girls love the dump trucks and huge rollers that we encounter. :)

Love the comparison photo, they look just alike and cute as ever!

Love your new fish!

The weather here has been rain all month. It's giving me a case of the blahs.

I'm jealous hearing about all of this cool weather. It's been brutal hot all summer in Austin. Just no fun whatsoever.

And camping? No. Not for me thank you. My idea of roughing it is no chocolate on the pillow at the hotel. :)

I love camping, but mostly because once we get there, I sit in a camp chair with a book while Mr.4444 does all the cooking (he loves it) and the kids fish and swim. Glad Sam is feeling better, and "High Five!" on the potty independence thing:) Thanks for joining in FF!!
