To New York, With Love

I got some cute footage of Luke playing with our Rescue Heroes and thought I would post it for all of our family up in New York. They have had some pretty rough weather, so I thought this might be a bright spot.

Nana, Poppy and the rest of the gang...this is for you!

It's so Digi-Fun!

Here's a fun contest, thanks to Linda at Short Pump Preppy. I am playing along, so here is my submission...

Moe, Luke & Larry are at it again!

Golfing with monsters & Big boy cups

Sam earned a special outing because he was doing really well with his new chore chart. (i.e., making his bed, brushing his teeth twice a day, picking up toys, not whining, etc.) He chose Monster Golf. It was something he had wanted to do for about a year, so he was really looking forward to it. And, I must say, it didn't disappoint!

Here are some pics:

On a completely different note, but equally as exciting...Luke is drinking very well from a "big boy" cup. He still won't take a bottle or traditional sippy cup, but he loves these cups with the built-in straw. He also loves water, just like Sam.

I got a makeover!

Isn't it great? Sara over at Subjective Beauty customized it just for me and my men, and I couldn't be happier!

(
Oh, and feel free to grab my button. It really is so cute.)

A Thousand Words Thursday

My very first entry for...

Sam at 16-months

Look! There's that smile...but did you notice? He doesn't have his signature curls. Oh...and this was taken at "our old house".

Due date...January 16th!!

Well. It was Sam's due date...in the year 2004! Anyways. In honor of that special day, I thought I would post the picture from my #1 file in the #16 slot:

And, it's SAM!! He was only a couple hours old in this picture. (Look back at Luke to see how much they look alike.)

Can you believe this is our funny-curly-headed-big-vocabulary-speaking boy???

Once...twice...three times a winner!

I am truly on a winning streak right now. First off, I entered a photo contest through our neighborhood newsletter. They wanted photos that represented Legacy Park. And, the first thing I thought of was the wildlife.

We are about 30 minutes north of Atlanta and live within a couple miles of every possible convenience, but our neighborhood exudes nature. There are raccoons, snakes, deer, rabbits, opossums, squirrels, birds, lizards, fish, etc. right outside our backdoor (sometimes inside the house...LOL), and we love it! So I submitted a sweet pic of a fawn that was feasting on my parent's beautiful lawn. And...I won! According to Neil, the prize is pretty good, too. I got an Ipod Shuffle. I'm not really into gadgets, so I probably won't use it much. (My cell phone doesn't even take pictures. Oh, the horror!) Still, I am super excited to win!

And, here is the photo that I submitted...

Secondly, I received a blog award from Alisha over at Izzy 'N Emmy. She has the cutest little girls, Izabel and Emily, and I enjoy reading her blog. The photos are always amazing and I so LOVE that she posts the "statistics" of her girls. (i.e., weight, height, etc.) Anyway, she gave me the "Your Blog is Fabulous" award, and I am honored.

Lastly, I received a sweet blog award from Dawn at Dawn's Diversions. I've known Dawn for a little over a year and I am so thankful for that. We "met" on Maya's Mom, which is now BabyCenter Community. She is exactly what I want to be, as a mom and wife. (Plus, her hubby, Brett, has an uncanny resemblance to Neil.) I only wish that we lived closer, so we could have play dates with beautiful Camryn and Luke!

P.S. I'm passing both of these awards onto ALL of my blogging buddies...so don't say I never gave you anything. Wink. Wink.

Sam turned 5...in the snow!!

It was nearly 60 degrees, but we took Sam to Snow Mountain for his birthday! It was really neat to see huge snow mounds in Georgia, and we all had a great time.

The pictures include the 400' tubing lanes and the play area. They also had a huge fire pit for s'mores.

The "official" birthday celebration took place a day earlier at Chuck E. Cheese, with friends.
