It's the eve of All Hallows Eve! Are you stocked with candy and ready???

I love Halloween. Theboys typically have a couple costumes b/c we don't want to reveal the big one before the 31st!

Sam is so into crafting that we tried these cute ghost necklaces that I saw on a blog. They only require wire (hair pin or paper clip), white glue and "embellishments". All in all, we thought they were fun and this one was our favorite...

____________

Did you "Boo" anyone this year? Did you get Boo-ed????

We did! And, it was a ton of fun. After getting Boo-ed, Sam was super excited to create his own bags for unsuspecting friends. Here's what he came up with...

Dropping them off was just as much fun as getting one, so next year, he wants "to do fifteen bags"!

Our garden is finally on its last leg. Sadly, it's just getting too cool (in the mornings) for tomatoes and peppers. But we did have the opportunity to pull up some of our peanuts! It was so cool to see these....

Sam received his medal for his winning photo. Here's the group...

And, the proud boy...

And, finally a couple recent photos of our sweet little fur babies. Aren't they cute???

Have a wonderful Hallo-weekend!!

This week iheartfaces.com is all about Halloween costumes. But since most of Sam's costumes have full masks, I decided to choose something a little more revealing.

He loves to get creative and made these goofy Franken-glasses!

Boo! Can you believe that it's nearly time for Halloween??? Seriously.

Here are some of our decorations...

I sent out the prize from my recent giveaway, and I sure hope that Tanya enjoys her notecards.

After "getting to know her" via her blog, I decided to create a variety of sizes and themes. Here are the 3 sets that I came up with...

Oh, and by the way...

I've gotten really into "making jewelry", as I like to call it. Of course, there is soooo much cool stuff at Michael's these days, that it doesn't really involve much work!

Anyway, I'm planning to do another giveaway in a couple weeks for a handmade necklace AND some notecards. Perfect for a Christmas gift! Stay tuned...

Remember that photo that Sam entered in the Reflections contest? Well, in case you don't...here it is again...

Guess what??? He WON 1st PLACE in his division!! His school will have a ceremony next week, where he'll receive a medal. And, now his photo will go on to compete at the county level. Not bad for a 5-year old, huh!?!

He was SO excited. I was SOOO excited.

Remember how much I was looking forward to last weekend? Well, we did get out, but it was really cold and very windy. Not quite what we were expecting. You can see some photos HERE.

Have a great weekend!

This week's theme at iheartfaces.com is "Pink!"

I'm pretty sure we all have a "pink story", but here is the one behind this photo...

I sponsor a friend every year for the 3-Day Walk, but this year I thought I would include a photo in with my donation. So, I just cut a big pink heart out and asked Sam if I could take a picture of him holding it. (Luke isn't exactly cooperative right now, when it comes to the camera.) He agreed, but after a couple clicks he asked if he could also hold "his heart". See...his red heart is nearly perfect and he cut it out "all by himself."

I just couldn't resist this edit because his features are so dark against the pink and red. My friend loved it and I hope you do, too!

Sundays in my city...

TASTE OF ACWORTH

Unknown Mami

Once a year, some really great restaurants around here set up booths on the street and offer up smaller portions of their best dishes. It's such a great way to try something new, without spending a lot of money.

It was pretty cold...for October in GA, but we still had a great time.

Today is Neil's birthday!!

We are celebrating with a date-night that will include either sushi or Thai food. (He hasn't been able to decide yet.) Then, we'll have cake with the boys. Sam and I are making a very special cake for Daddy, and I hope it turns out as cute as I imagine.

______________

We went to a Corn Maze on Sunday and the boys had a ball. Sam did a great job getting us through the 10 acre maze. Luke absolutely loves anything with wheels, so he couldn't get enough of the tractors.

It was a beautiful day, but really warm. You just never know what you'll get in October, here in GA!

______________

October 15th is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, so last night we burned two candles in honor of our Angel Babies. (We know that our second was a girl, and she would have turned two this past July.) Congress made this day "official" in 2006 and one of Georgia's Representatives even spoke.

Sometimes our government does get it right, huh!?!

My latest and greatest bargain is...

An adorable Melissa and Doug fold-and-go kitchen. It's like a $40 toy and had all of the original parts, with only a few paint scratches. I paid $3.50 at Goodwill and it was totally worth every penny b/c Luke loves it!

_____________

And, in other Luke-news...

He got a new bed!

And, so far so good. He's doing really well with actually staying/sleeping in it.

The weather is supposed to be amazing this weekend! We have several outdoor-activities planned to take full advantage of the Fall'ish temps. Hope you do, too!

I snapped this photo of Luke last Christmas Eve. I was getting out some cookies and he was ready to sample one...or two!
