Fragmented Freewrite #5

It's ragweed season in GA, so we are all sneezing. Still, it's been another eventful week!

So, are you watching "There Goes the Neighborhood" on CBS?

It was filmed in my neighborhood back in June. We are friends with The Bussiere Family, and they are still in the running. Tune in this Sunday for episode #3 or you can watch it on the CBS.com website. That's what we do! Every Tuesday night, Neil, Sam and I climb into the big bed and crank up the laptop.

Sam's BFF, Noelle, will be celebrating her 5th birthday this weekend. The party is at JumpToons, which as you probably guessed, has jumpies/bouncies. Sam is so excited. He loves bouncing and he really loves Noelle.

He wanted to get her some special notecards b/c she loves "writing" little notes. So, instead I decided to make her some and we were very happy with the way they turned out. What do you think?

I enjoyed making them so much that I made some for myself! (I'm really into owls right now.) And, I think this just might be a new hobby for me...as if I need another.

Thank you to everyone who commented or emailed about Luke's "model shoot" last Saturday. It was at an amazingly fun place, so he was totally distracted, therefore not his sweet, smiley self. We did manage to get a couple cute shots, tho, and the contest will start tomorrow. I will post a link when it becomes available.

And, speaking of Luke...he recently added guacamole and lo mein to his list of foods. Love that international-food-eating-boy!

Sam is really loving school, and it's such a blessing to have a child wake up (early) and ready to go each morning. I think PE and Music are his favorite classes, but I just had to post this cute piece that he came up with in Art class.

He was told to make and animal out of the circle, and he drew Babar, complete with crown! (And, he was apparently trying to make gray from blue and purple, but it didn't work.) I just love it SO much.

Next week I am hosting a Xocai party, and I'm so excited! If you haven't heard about Xocai, you should. Feel free to email me, too, if you want more info. I love to talk about the healthy chocolate!

Have a fantastic weekend!

What?? That was filmed in your neighborhood?? Spill it girl! What happens once they get kicked off? Do they go stay in a hotel? Are the people still friends with each other after the show? Did anyone move??

Oh, I'm definitely going to have to check out that show - I remember seeing previews to it a while back, but then nothing afterwards, so I forgot it was coming on. :)

LOVE the note cards you made for Sam's BFF - her birthday party this weekend sounds PERFECT!

That's awesome that Sam's really loving school - this year will be the first year PN will be in school all day (vs. 1/2 day), but I'm worried about her 1st grade teacher after last night's orientation. I hope she doesn't make PN hate school...ugh!

LOVE the Babar drawing - he did a GREAT job!! :)

Happy FF! :)

Hi from Sam's pen pal, Blakes' grandma (whew) now that you know who I am I wanted to tell you your children are quite adorable and I'm enjoying the photos you've posted of them and the little stories about Sam and kindergarten. I blogged about the pen pal thing on my blog dated for August 17 if you wish to check it out.

I just starting watching that show this week, and I was racking my brain to remember who had posted about it. Now I know!

I look forward to hearing more cute school stories about your little Sammy :)

What pretty cards! I used to collect stationery as a kid... and nowadays, not so much with all the electronic versus paper... too bad.

Great fragments!
