Spring Fling

If you're not familiar with mating anoles...

It's actually pretty vicious and goes on for about 15 minutes.

Can't wait to see the babies running around this summer, tho!

I like the whole composition, light and stripes with them taking center stage.

I haven't seen mating reptiles here yet, maybe just because there are lots of things to watch. Tha'ts a lovely color for the male.

Haha, great capture!

(Why is it that the males always have prettier colors than the females?!)

We used to have those all over our house in AZ. I haven't seen a single one since moving, though. Great photo!

Well that's a first for me Dina,
I have to admit I've never seen this before... or in fact anoles!
I've lived with ghekkos... if that counts?
Thanks for sharing, although I'm not so sure that they'd be pleased if they knew that their little 'shananakins' has gone global!

Are these your pets or just wild. We only get the tiny little lizards up here in cumming!

I always feel a bit like a voyeur when I witness things like that!

I saw the thumbnail on the link party and I though "It cannot be." Well, I clicked the link and guess what? It can be.

Nothing quite like being caught in the act. It does look quite an uncomfortable position let's hope they get their babies!

They look so sweet at this point, at least it was in the sunshine.

Thank you for linking up

Well, no I've never seen them mate, there is always a first time! I bet it will be lovely seeing all the babies though.

That green guy does have a strangely vicious glint in his eye. They are such fun little lizards, though.
