Wow...that's a BIG fish!

We really make an effort to do a lot of fun/special things with the boys, especially since Neil travels so much. However, one obvious thing that we hadn't done was visit the Georgia Aquarium. That is...until yesterday!

For anyone not familiar, our aquarium is the largest in the world. It has an amazing eight million gallons of fresh and marine water and houses more than 500 different species, plus a kids section that is both entertaining and educational. (Sam has now switched his future profession from being a garbageman to "taking care of animals in the ocean." I believe both are pretty admirable!)

Sam was a great age because he seemed to really "get" the greatness of being able to see the mysterious Whale Sharks or the largest living coral reef exhibit in the US or a whole school of (sparkly) Piranha. Not to mention, petting a SHARK and a Starfish!

Luke enjoyed it, as well, even screaming with excitement at a few of the creatures. He also really liked when we ate lunch....imagine that.

The jellyfish were so mesmerizing and actually seemed to glow. It was great for Sam to see how beautiful they are because they are quite numerous in Florida, where we vacation the most.

This was a big whale slide in the kids section.

We saw Marlin, Nemo and Dory together again.
Disney really is magical!

This was a really big fish, but the funny thing about this pic is that Sam's lovie, Gage snuck in. (Yes, his lovie is a hard plastic chameleon-thing. Don't ask.)

What a fantastic adventure!

And how on earth do you keep track of Sam's lovie? We have a hard enough time making sure we haven't misplaced the Blankie; I can't imagine trying to keep tabs on a little, plastic chameleon! :)

The pictures are amazing!!

We have a pretty new aquarium in Tulsa that is pretty cool. I haven't taken Camryn though. But, Courtney likes it.

I'm glad you all got to go do something fun together.

Wow... sounds like your adventure was much more successful than ours! We went in March right after they opened... One babychanger, too crowded, slides were closed, we couldn't see any fish because of all the school kids... Not fun. Not fun at all.

But I hear they are much better with the number of people they've added and that they've added more baby changers (although now I don't need them).

I think we may have to venture over there again one day....
