Fragmented Freewrite #13

Today is Neil's birthday!!

We are celebrating with a date-night that will include either sushi or Thai food. (He hasn't been able to decide yet.) Then, we'll have cake with the boys. Sam and I are making a very special cake for Daddy, and I hope it turns out as cute as I imagine.

______________

We went to a Corn Maze on Sunday and the boys had a ball. Sam did a great job getting us through the 10 acre maze. Luke absolutely loves anything with wheels, so he couldn't get enough of the tractors.

It was a beautiful day, but really warm. You just never know what you'll get in October, here in GA!

______________

October 15th is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day, so last night we burned two candles in honor of our Angel Babies. (We know that our second was a girl, and she would have turned two this past July.) Congress made this day "official" in 2006 and one of Georgia's Representatives even spoke.

Sometimes our government does get it right, huh!?!

My latest and greatest bargain is...

An adorable Melissa and Doug fold-and-go kitchen. It's like a $40 toy and had all of the original parts, with only a few paint scratches. I paid $3.50 at Goodwill and it was totally worth every penny b/c Luke loves it!

_____________

And, in other Luke-news...

He got a new bed!

And, so far so good. He's doing really well with actually staying/sleeping in it.
______________

The weather is supposed to be amazing this weekend! We have several outdoor-activities planned to take full advantage of the Fall'ish temps. Hope you do, too!

~How fun was the corn maze, those are pretty cute pictures!
~My kiddos love the goodwill store, my Pink Angel got a casio piano only for 30 bucks and it was a professional one! Now Junior practice on it because he is taking piano classes.
~Tell your hubby ♫Happy Birthday♫
Have a Lovely♥Friday!

I love the pictures of the corn maze. Very cute. Happy Birthday Neil. I hope you guys have fun tonight. Yum, have some Thai. One of my favorites!

I can't believe Luke has a big boy bed. Oh my gosh. How cool! That is also an awesome Goodwill find on the toy. My mom just bought a tool/work bench at a garage sale. Boyd just loves it.

You are such a sweet soul. I love that you burned candles in remembrance of your 2 angels.

hugs!

Kyle and I are going to a beautiful campus today. It's on the bay and has lots of trees, which I'm sure will be beautiful. Company coming tomorrow (not really my friends, so kind of a drag, but it will be okay...)

Happy Birthday, Hubs!!

Corn mazes are great fun. Your pics are great. Glad the big-boy bed is working out! Have a great weekend.

Thanks for stopping by! Tara and my great nephew did a large corn maze on Sunday. I stayed outside. I don't like them, don't like not knowing were the exit is! They did great!

Enjoy the weather! I totally missed "real" fall in Florida!

I hope you have a wonderful time together. Happy Birthday, Neil!

That was a steal of a deal on that toy. I've never looked at toys at Goodwill but I sure have at garage sales.

I lit a candle last night for all of the angel babies too. :)

My people call it Maize. Why don't they call it a Maize Maze?

Couldn't help myself.

Feliz Cumpleaños Neil!

I've always wanted to do a corn maze -- although I have no sense of direction so I would probably never get out :-)

And congrats to Luke on his big boy bed!!

I am sorry to stop by so late. I am catching up on FF post today. Busy week and my birthday kept me a little busy. :(

What a beautiful photo of your husband and you! I vote for sushi, always sushi!

I remember when Pregnancy and Infant Loss Rememberence Day was passed as an official day. I held an event at my college through my women's organization for it. It was a special day.

What a cute wood set! I used to manage a gift store that sold some Melissa and Doug toys. They are very costly. You found a good deal! :)
