Sunday in my city...

Sam and I just did something extra fun at a great local place.

Unknown Mami

We participated in a scavenger hunt at Smith-Gilbert Gardens in Kennesaw, GA.  (Sadly, these gardens are only about 5 minutes from our house and it took 5 years to check them out.)  Smith-Gilbert is so beautiful...and huge...and relaxing...and we'll go back soon.  Here's why...

Sam also took his camera and here's what my creative (and talented) 6-year old came up with...

Gorgeous pictures! Sam has a great eye.

What program did you use to make the collages?

Courtney's grandparents are getting her a new digital camera. They are taking her and her cousin for two weeks traveling in their motor home in June. It will be fun to see what pictures she takes of all the places she will get to see.

She's going to get to see parts of the U.S. I've never even seen. I'm sort of jealous. =)

Oh wow! Isn't it fun when you find awesome places in your city that turns out to be so close by? Surprises like that can be so awesome. I've never been to a scavenger hunt at a garden before, but it sure looks like fun. Thanks for sharing, and thanks for stopping by today for SIMC! :-D

I love the weird little gnome thing!

How fun that Sam has his own camera =) I think it takes mad skills to get pictures of fish like that!

You both did splendidly.

I never knew there were gardens over in Kennesaw. Maybe we'll check them out in a couple weeks.

Wuhoo .. you and Sam did good!

I cannot believe it too you 5 years to get to that place. It is simply drop-dead gorgeous. I would imagine it is the most soul-calming place to meander through.

Tell Sam he took some lovely photographs.
