CSN Wooden Toys: Review and Giveaway!

****CLOSED****

Congrats to #42, Liz!

I love wooden toys, probably b/c I like all-things retro/vintage AND I have
destructive boys.  So, when CSN Stores gave me the opportunity to review a
product, I knew exactly what to get.

Have you seen one of these?

Smart Gear Classic Wooden Training Bike

It's a "balance bike" and helps a child learn to ride a regular bike faster, plus it's for
ages 2-5.  Luke is so into things with wheels that I knew he would really love it...once
he gets it...on his birthday.  (He's sort of timid these days, so I think his 3rd birthday
will be perfect.)  In the meantime, we did build it, which was super easy, and rolled it
around our bedroom.  It's so super cute and made REALLY well.

And, when you buy it from CSN Stores, it ships for FREE!

CSN has so many amazing toys that I had to get something for you, too.  Which
means this is the part about the GIVEAWAY.  Are you ready?  Hope so b/c I'm
giving away 3 wooden toys to one of my readers.

Want to see them???

They are so cool and perfect for kids 3 years and older.  Don't ya wanna win???
Well, just leave a comment telling me what you like about these items and you'll be
entered.  If you follow me, you can have a 2nd entry by leaving an additional
comment saying "follower".
I'll pick a random winner on October 6th at 9PM.

***I was provided these items free-of-charge for review and giveaway purposes.
The thoughts expressed above are my own and were not influenced in any way.***

I love that they are wooden! We are trying to keep the plastic to a bare minimum for our little one. Man, it's harder than you would think. Wooden and cloth toys are the plan!

The wooden farm cube puzzle is my favorite. Chunky blocks and and six puzzles in one! My little one loves anything with animals (probably because I'm a sucker for making the animal sounds whenever he points to one).

What awesome toys. Luke will love his new bike. It will be fun to see him riding it down the sidewalk!

What a fun giveaway! I love the wooden toys. It is so hard to find real wooden toys now. Even some of the "wooden" blocks now are really just foam designed to look like wood. These also look like great developmental toys and would be great for our little guy when he gets home and gets to be that age.

I love wood toys! I am slowly replacing many of our plastic ones with them. I have a 3 1/2 year old daughter(and a 4m old son) so these are perfect. She would love the screw toy and is really into games and puzzles lately so the others two would be so much fun. I love the screw toy the best as I can see her playing with it for a long time ;)

My daughter had a balance bike from when she was 18 months old untill about five minutes before she mastered the pedal bike (no training wheels) at 4 - this girl would go for km's on her bike - it was amazing, they are just the best thing ever! What I would love for her now (though she is a bit old for it she would just love the game of it) is the tippy turtle, she loves balance games, for her body and her hand eye cordination. She is 5, the farm blocks and the screw set I would give to my profoundly disabled neice, she would just love them and I think play with them for many many years to come!

I agree with pretty much everyone else, I love that they are wooden. My daughter manages to destroy a lot of her plastic toys and wooden ones hold up a lot better. I also think they last longer for a second, third, etc child and in my family everything gets passed around to all the new cousins!

These are great picks! I am also a fan of wooden toys, and try to confine my gifts to my grandchilden to items that provide good play value rather than battery operated bells and whistles. These provide just that - the puzzle cube set is a really good way to develop observation and critical thinking skills, the screws do as well along with fine motor skills... and I just adore that turtle game... what a great open ended puzzle that is!
