Book Review: The Clouds Roll Away

I recently received a copy of The Clouds Roll Away by Sibella Giorello.

The Clouds Roll Away (Raleigh Harmon)

I was initially intrigued by the main character, Raleigh, a female
"forensic geologist".  Seriously.  How cool is that job?  And, Raleigh
is a Christian with a difficult past.  Totally my kind of book.

Here's a bit from the publisher:

I admit that this book was a bit slow in the beginning, but I was
already so hooked that I really couldn't put it down.  Mainly
because of the story line, and I've mentioned in the past that I
like to read books that make me a bit "uncomfortable"...such as
books about hate crimes.  I always enjoy being taken to an
unfamiliar (uncomfortable) place and then seeing The Light.

The descriptions in this book were so amazing to me, that it was
as if I were watching it in movie-form while reading.  That's a
real gift, and I'm blessed that I now know about Sibella Giorello.
Because, as it seems, The Clouds Roll Away is actually the 3rd
book in a series about the character, Raleigh.  (I didn't realize
that until I was finished!)

And, now I can't wait to read the other books!

Okay.  Here's the really good stuff...

Dina,
Thanks so much. What a wonderful way to approach books -- wanting to be a bit "uncomfortable." That's terrific.

Merry Christmas,

Sibella Giorello
