We attended a junior horticulturalist event recently at our
local botanical gardens. The boys learned all about
local botanical gardens. The boys learned all about
seeds and planted their own sunflowers and beans...
(How clever is that biodegradable "pot", really???)
(Luke LOVES "cuttin' stuff" these days.)
And, I know I already shared this one over the weekend,
but I couldn't help but post it again. He's so funny...
It's still super hot in GA, but today it was really windy, too,
and Sam's little pinwheel was spinning like crazy!

I love the spinning pinwheel!! cute! =) we have sun and wind ... but it ain't "hot"... lol!! =) last year we made biodegradable planting pots out of brown paper bags... they molded... gotta love colder wet country! *sigh* I think it would have been a differnt story with warmer weather!~ Can't wait to see the boys sunflowers!
Looks like fun....that first picture caught my eye, what a clever way to plant seeds.

I love planting seeds in the egg container and toilet roll. Great idea. The kids are adorable as always.
What a neat way to plant the seeds. You know stuff like that is right up my alley. :) And I love the windy picture. That is perfect for Shutter Love Tuesday!!
HOW FUN! Mu kids would love that- you guys always do the best stuff!!!!!! That shot with the magnifying glass is too cute
I love the use of the toilet rolls. I always recycle mine and you can also make ornaments from them.
What a great idea to use tubes from toilet paper rolls as pots! :)
You guys always have so much fun! That shot of Luke is hilarious.
Awwwwwwwwwwwww. I love the pictures of the boys today. They always make me smile!

Awesome planting tip :) And, what an amazing 'Green' photo of Luke! Adorable!
Lovely pics - and it´s always fun to plant a little with your kids! :-)
What a great idea! We've planted grass seeds in eggshells before but we'll have to try this :)
That sounds like an awesome event! I love the idea for biodegradable pots too!
beautiful photos as usual! I love the one of Lukie with the magnifying glass...too cute.
Wonderful shots Dina! Love the one of your son with the magnifying glass.
He's a doll!
How fun! And what a creative idea for pots. I'll have to show my senior mom for starting next year's gardening project! And won't you and your kids enjoy it as you grow those sunflower seeds! We're on our second year of growing sunflower houses so we've got plenty of sunflowers here as well and it's so cool to watch them grow - especially the giant Mammoth sunflower seeds that are so easy to grow and get so tall! I'm looking forward to seeing how yours turn out - be sure to use your great digital camera to grab photos of them in a few months :). Have a lovely Sweet Shot Tuesday!
I love activities like these for kids. Looks like they had a lot of fun! That magnifying glass shot is priceless. lol! So cute.
Sweet. Love the "pots".

Beautiful and fun shots!
Those planters are so clever. I love that idea!
Love the pictures of the boys. :) Boyd hasn't quite mastered scissors yet. I guess we need more practice, with the kid proof ones.
Lots of sweet shots! Love his expression with the magnifying glass and what a cool pinwheel! My boys love cutting things, also. Leaves little trails of tiny bits of paper everywhere.
Kids love these activities so much!! Great shots.
These are fabulous pictures. What a great summer activity. :)
