Sam's school had a fundraiser over the weekend, The Turkey Trot.
It was a cold November-morning for GA at 28 degrees...
But, we had a great turn out and everyone was excited to
be there, especially Sam...
(How cute is that shirt? It was designed by a 4th-grader
and chosen by the 5th-grade student council!)
We had warm-ups...and a 6-foot turkey...
My boys loved the warm-ups!
Then, we were off for our 2K run...through a
local neighborhood...
And, there were some great signs along the way...
We all had such a great time, and (eventually) the
6-foot turkey finished, too...

Our school does a Turkey Trot also on the day before Thanksgiving. It just consists of the kids and some parents walking a couple laps around the school. The kids love it!
