Paint

I took the boys to a "paint your own pottery" place recently.  Have
you ever done that?  It's so much fun, and had been way too long
since I last did it...when Sam was 3-years old.

We chose some fun pieces and got to work...

Sam was so into it.  I don't think he said a word the entire time...

I think we both gasped out loud, tho, when Luke did this...

In the end, tho, Luke was right.  Ariel does look pretty in his room...

I love places like this! I took Noam to one in Oregon once and made hand print tiles! Love the masterpiece, stunning blues he used!

When my girls were wee I used to take them to these pottery places. They loved it so much and we have lots of these pieces around the house.
I'm sure your boys will keep them forever too :)

These places are fun. My kids have gone from time to time some have quite the collection of pottery. I like the pumpkin and the Ariel. :)

oh I have yet to ever take my kiddos to do this - they keep seeing this store in the mall and I always steer clear - maybe next time I will stop in!

Oh how fun. We used to have a place like this when we lived in another town. I should have taken advantage of it more when I had it so close.

I haven't done that in 40 years, at least! Ariel is a gem!!!

We love the paint your own pottery places, especially at Christmas time. Painting ornaments and gifts are always part of our Advnet calender.

I love your pictures. It's obvious your boys are very serious about their work by their looks of concentration.

Oh yes, we did this as a kid all the time, and so fun! The pottery craze was going on, and it was my sister's hobby. So she would take us girls with her often, I miss that! Fun!

Love how they are so in to it! Can't blame them!

Thanks for sharing with Foto Friday,
Lori

That boy of yours has an artistic eye, for sure! Ariel has never looked more beautiful<3 What a fun thing to do with your kiddos...I'll have to look into finding out if there's something similar around here (although, I'm seriously doubting it... ;D)
