UncommonGoods: Pillow Talk

I recently had the pleasure of reviewing an item from UncommonGoods.

In case you aren't familiar with this amazing site, here's some background...

"Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Brooklyn, New York, UncommonGoods is a privately-owned retailer that endeavors to feature unique designs and handcrafted gifts created in harmony with the environment and without harm to animals or people. We run all our operations out of the historic Brooklyn Army Terminal, including our warehouse where the lowest-paid seasonal worker starts at 50% above the minimum wage. We make it our mission to support and provide a platform for artists and designers; in fact, half of what we sell is made by hand. Most of the products we carry are created right here in the USA, and about one-third of our entire collection incorporates recycled and/or upcycled materials. At the core of our company is a great respect for the integrity of the creative individual and the belief that it is our responsibility to use our business to impact the world in a positive way."

When I clicked over to check things out, I was blown away.  Blown. Away.

So many beautiful and clever pieces to choose from!  I really love their unique items for the home and garden...and immediately felt myself drawn to their vast selection of wall art.  Canvas.  Wood.  Photography.  It's all there.  But...after much back-and-forth (and consultation with my boys), I chose this whimsical decorative pillow.

Isn't it just perfect!?

The craftsmanship is superb, and I love that a card was included that tells me all about the amazing artist that designed it.
It's actually part of a 3-camera collection, and yes, I plan to purchase the 2 remaining pillows.

The holidays will be here before we know it, and I will definitely shop UncommonGoods for several hard-to-buy-for friends.  It makes me happy to support such a positive business and I'll look like a rockstar for gifting something so cool.  Win-win!

***I received the aforementioned item for review purposes.
The opinions expressed are my own and were not influenced.***

Absolutely love it. If I ever find myself with two nickels to rub together after moving one kid to Japan and the other to college, I may have to visit this site.
