Coloring eggs and flowers

The boys were especially proud of their Easter
eggs this year.  We used acrylic paint and silk
ties to come up with these...

Both of these fun ideas, are courtesy of

Photobucket

Peonies are such beautiful flowers, even
before they bloom...

Don't they look like colored eggs???

And, apparently they're delicious!

The silk tie eggs fascinate me. I'm going to have to go find out how it was done.

Gorgeous bokeh in those peony macros!

At least the honeydew that is secreted by the bud is delicious. It is a myth that ants open the peonies. Gorgeous shots. V

Those eggs are just marvelous Dina - the boys must be so proud of their work.

I've never looked that closely at a paeony bud before and didn't realise how nice they really are at that stage.

I love peony's and I love how you captured the essential relationship between the peony and the ant. Without that little ant doing his job we wouldn't have the beautiful blossom. Kaye—the road goes ever ever on

What kind of flower is that? It is awesome!

Those eggs are really awesome!

I am *so* bad at flower names! I had no idea those were pansies. My grandmother had a bunch of them in her backyard when I was a child. The ants swarmed all over the unopened buds!

Wonderful photographs!

Abi said...

Yes! The peonies are beautiful in the bud... now I really want to see them in bloom!
