Weekend Wrap-up: Stone Mountain

Do you know about Stone Mountain?

I thought not, so I did an ol' copy & paste from their site...

This weekend, we took the boys to see the base of the mountain...

The amazing carving...

And, of course, the view from the top...

Photography love...

They also loved the sky-lift, train, obstacle course
& 4-D theater...plus climbing, sliding and playing...

Sweet Shot Day

Not to mention, the Laser Show and fireworks...

It was a beautiful weekend in GA.  How was yours?

Hi Dina. I grew up in North FL, so we have been to Stone Mountain. In fact I am headed there in October again for the Country Living Fair with my Mom + sister.

Yes, I know stone mountain. My dad has cousins who live in the Atlanta area. When we visited years ago, we climbed to the top. I was 11 at the time. I believe I even kept a rock from the adventure. :)

I am smiling when I read this post because I do know about Stone Mountain in Georgia. I have been there a few times on our endeavors on the way to Florida!

Looking at your photos certainly brought back memories - except the photo AT.THE.TIP.TOP.OF.THE.MOUNTAIN. I am scared of heights and I had my eyes shut going up the Sky-Lift and I did not look over the side. LOL Yeah.. I am a scare-dee chicken! bok bok

Thanks for sharing the awesome photos!

Those pictures are wonderful. We always wanted to go to Stone Mt. when we lived in GA but for some reason never made it there. I hear they have a campground right there....May have to check it out one of these days. :)
