Turkey Trotting

The boys participated in their school's annual Turkey Trot...

(They always have cute signs!)

(Sam is normal.  Josh is really tall.)

(Heading to the wet and gloomy start line.)

(And, they're off!)

And, best of all, someone got his 1st official medal.  The school gives medals
to all of the kids that run the 1.25 miles and cross the finish line...

I love this - what a fun way to get the kids excited and exercising. Cute: "...is normal, ... is tall" - my son is 6'2" (senior in high school) and isn't the tallest of his immediate neighboring peers - I used to say that too. :)

And cute smiles. "To trot is divine" made me smile too. The 'the're off' shot looks so much fun. And awwww.... what a proud moment! Adorable boy.

That's awesome! I remember when my daughter got her first "medal". She was five and in "pee wee" softball. It was plastic and some parents got them to share after the girls' first game. You'd have thought they'd just won the championship or someone had given her a genuine gold medal the way that she reacted to it, LOL.

The first medal of many I'm sure. :) Sweet photos Dina.

Love this to pieces! I need to sign the 3 of us up for the Ft. Worth Turkey Trot, one day! I did it several years ago, and loved it. Congrats to Luke on his 1st medal! I know he is proud of that. And Sam has the best smile!
