Science is fun!

We have a new science museum near us that we finally explored. It's called Tellus and it's only about a 20 minute drive from us AND it has it's own parking lot. (Anyone familiar with Atlanta knows why I am mentioning the parking!) Well, I have to say, it really is GREAT! All of us enjoyed it, even Luke...and I am contemplating a membership so we can go whenever/as often as we want.

The permanent exhibits include: The Fossil Gallery, The Mineral Gallery, Science in Motion, and the Planetarium...plus, there's a fossil dig, gem panning and "The Big Backyard", which has a million interactive things for kids. We all had a ton of fun, and Sam even enjoyed learning about things that I would have never imagined!

Looks like the boys had a wonderful time. They are so handsome and adorable.

I can't recall the name of the place near us that my best friend (who was visting at the time) went with me to view. It's an upside down building in Florida and inside are some remarkable things for "science". At first I thought, uh oh this is not going to be exciting for us without having any children with us (neither of us have little ones any more) but we ended up having the best time! We sat in a make shift earthquake, learned new things about different places, experienced a tornado exhibit and we also took photos inside an astronaut like your son did. We had a complete blast. Mmmm, that was two years ago perhaps I'll return (smile).

I'm so glad you mentioned this! I've seen it from the highway but didn't know when it would open or what was inside. We'll need a planetarium for our lessons next year, so this will work perfectly! Looks like you have a WONDERFUL time!!

That is too bad that you didn't have his pics in time for the contest on i heart faces. I noticed that you are from Kenesaw. I live just in AL. I live in Jacksonville where the college is. It is off of the Oxford exit of I-20. We are about 1-2 hours away from each other. Cool huh? I used to come to Marietta every week. Our boys are similar in age. Maybe we could playdate sometime. can't wait to see your pics.

That looks like so much fun. I love taking the boys places that have hands on activities. It makes the experience so much more memorable.
