A few fragments...

Mommy's Idea

I've been a bit slack with my fragments since school let out.  Can't imagine why!  Teehee.

And, now we are preparing for our vacation.  We'll soon be leaving for a week in Orlando.  We LOVE Disney.  Sam has already met Mickey 4 times in his short life, and we can't wait to introduce Luke.  Lots of good pics coming, I'm sure.

~~~~~~~~~~~
We've had some crazy storms lately.  Not crazy for GA, but crazy compared to the last few years.  Lots of lightening.  I don't care for lightening.
~~~~~~~~~~~

The crazy storms have meant a surge of beaver and turtles in our neighborhood.  Some of the turtles are huge, too.  We love turtles!

~~~~~~~~~~~
Sam informed me today that he wants to eat Steak & Shake everyday of his life.  I told him that would mean A LOT of fries.  Really good fries, albeit.  Really.  Good.
~~~~~~~~~~~

Did you follow Yaya?  She recently met Alex and has some great pictures.  Makes me super happy!

~~~~~~~~~~~
And, finally...
I received another sweet award from Mommy Wemmick.  This time it's the Sunshine Award.  And, I have to share 5 things that bring me sunshine.
1. Hearing my kids laugh together. (Ages 6 and 2)
2. Drinking ice-cold Coke from glass bottles.
3. Taking photos...lots of photos.
4. Knowing that in October my parents will celebrate their 50th anniversary!
50 YEARS!!
5. Knowing that I want to celebrate my 50th anniversary with Neil.
6. Receiving comments on this blog.
Isn't Yaya's news exciting?! So happy for them both. Won't it be crazy if they end up with two?!
That fragment about the beavers and turtles is really funny; I've never heard of such a thing. Very interesting. I have an empty turtle shell (painted, I think) in my classroom. It gets a lot of attention!
Tell Mickey I said hi!! :)
OH we LOVE, LOVE, LOVE Disney! Have fun. We are itching for another trip (been almost 2 years already). HAve you ever done the cruise? Thinking about switching it up and doing that next time.
I can't imaging having beavers wandering around...but do love seeing turtles. How fun.
I'm going to Orlando today as a matter of fact, but I'm going to skip the mouse and head for IKEA LOL I hope you all have a great time when you go.
Steak and Shake fries ARE good!
I've been a bit slack with everything and I don't even have the excuse of kids not being in school ;)
I hope you guys have fun at Disney! I want to take Martijn sometime. They have Disneyland Paris here but I understand it's a bit subpar haha!
That's neat about Yaya! I was wondering the other day how the adoption was progressing.
I love Disney too! My parents live in Daytona so when my kids were little we went twice a year. I just was blessed with my 11th grand child this week and my husband and I swear every year we are going to spring for the trip for all..but someone always ends up pregnant..they have told me this is the last one for quite awhile (I still have one son not married)..I am going to start planning..have a great time and I hope when you have a chance you will stop by for a visit!
I'll have to look for the beaver and turtles, we haven't seen them yet. But we have noticed a lot of deer around the past few days. Enjoy your Disney vacation.
I'm so jealous you get to go to Disney so often. I wish we lived a little closer.
We've had some crazy storms here as well.
That's wonderful that your parents will be celebrating 50 years. Are you planning a party for them?
