Christmas story...

My parents' house is a winter-wonderland beginning each Thanksgiving...

This foto doesn't show 1/4 of their display.  It's awesome!
And, Sam becomes quite the celebrity with his fellow
school-bus-riders.  (Their home is only a tenth of a mile
from ours.)  The kids love starting those early
mornings with such a beautiful show.

Luke is so into Santa this year.

Several times this week, he's placed one of his toys in a
bag/pillowcase/sock and brought it to me with a jolly
"Ho!  Ho!  Ho!"  LOVE it.  And, I also love that he and his
big brother got to open a couple gifts over the weekend...

That's right.  The partying has begun in Georgia!

And, just in case you're wondering...

oh my goodness! I LOVE it! I would love to decorate but my husband grumbles at the thought so I usually just get our porch done. How wonderful to walk up to that house on a regular basis!!!

Wow!! Your parents' house is so amazing! I remember the couple of times we spent Christmas back in Canada, we would drive down this street where pretty much the entire neighborhood's houses were all done up with lights and decorations on the front yard, pretty much like your parents'. What a treat it was for the kids (and us, too)! :)

Your parents house look gorgeous Dina! And I bet Sam really is popular with the kids on the bus - how fun! Your countdown calendar just freaked me out a little bit. I know what day it is but seeing 23 days just makes me think of how much there is to do yet!

Holy cow - that light display is beautiful. I'd love to do that but am worried about 2 things. 1) what does the electric bill look like? 2) where do you store it all afterwards?

Merry Christmas!

LOVE the Christmas lights! They are beautiful and not tacky like some displays you see.

Your parents home is amazing! I appreciate people who put so much work into lights and stuff, because I know I never be bothered doing it myself! I love the gift opening photos, nothing better than a child's face upon opening a gift!

Those lights are beautiful! I still love that Christmas countdown frame. I need to get on that and make them as gifts for others.

So I have switched to New Years greetings... and cut gift giving with all others besides our wee family... *relief!* but... decorating... baking... wrapping... all lovely wonderful... parties... friends... church ... lovely again... I love Christmas... wish I could do it all with more ease! ha ha! Your parents display is SPECTACULAR!!! This weekend is our decorating weekend... but it is not that fancy! =) My kids run around with Santa hats and red stockings on their feet from the minute we pull them out... so much for hanging stockings!! ha ha!
