We ate a lot and then made these turkey cookies, per Sam's instruction...
They were so cute and Luke really thought they were yummy!

Speaking of Sam...he has enlarged lymph nodes on his neck, which was a bit of a shock. His doctor thinks that it might be mumps even tho he's had the proper MMR immunizations since birth. (I'm big on the shots.)
We are awaiting the results of an extensive blood test, so we'd love prayers, good wishes and positive vibes sent this way.

I came up with a great new "recycled craft".
I collected these push-corks from a (cheap) wine that I like and was convinced that I could use them at some point.
Add some glue, beads/mini marbles and a name tag, and...
they make great place-card holders.

Neil and I are enjoying a date today, complete with a New Moon viewing and something even more fattening than yesterday. Woohoo!
__________
We finally bought the flip. It seems so cool already and here is my first "test" video...
Do you have one yet???

Have a great weekend and hope he is much better soon (prayers all the way from here.)
Praying for your sweet Sam!!
Oh I hope it isn't mumps!
Those cookies are adorable!
I don't have a flip- my camera phone takes good video. But a flip would let me take longer videos, for sure.
Happy FF!
Those cookies are super-cute and I love the card holders - very clever!
Happy FF :-)
Sending lots of good vibes for Sam. I know the waiting is tough. My thoughts are with you.
Oh goodness, I hope Sam is ok. I'm praying. I love the place card holders you made. Very cute! The cookies are great too. You are so crafty!
Have fun on your date! :)
I WISH I had a Flip! I use one at work all the time and love it!
Poor Sam-I hope he doesn't have the mumps. I had them as a kid and remember them well. Hopefully, it's just virus or something...
Hmmm. Trying to copy your button, but when I post it, it comes up different than what you have showing....?
Okay-the button thing is all good now. Sorry about that.
I'm thankful I just found my Flip! Turns out it was still in the backpack we took to Dland last time we went.
Happy FF!
What a neat idea and a great recycle craft project those cork placecard holders are! I'm working on a crocheted Christmas stocking right now out of recycled plastic bags. I 'think' it's going to turn out good but the foot part has been challenging. Best wishes and have a wonderful weekend.

First of all great idea with the corks!
I have a flip and I love it. It's just so convenient and easy to carry around.
Super cute video!
Prayers it's not mumps. :(
Those are some mighty fine looking turkey treats - yum!! Awesome craft! I love place card holders and those are great. Enjoy New Moon. I really enjoyed it.

Wow, you are super creative! Those cookies look delicious, and those placeholders are great-- I might have to steal the idea!
I hope your son does not have mumps, or anything nearly as serious!

Non-Mump prayers at you.
The Flip is cool. I am contemplating that as a Christmas gift for husband. :) He really wants one.
Awww! I hope Sam doesn't have the mumps! I got them on one side when I was a kid - even though I had gotten shots. I remember I got to eat lots of Popsicles! :)
Love your t-cork name place craft thingy! Great idea! :)
I SO want the Flip! I've suggested it to hubby as a birthday or Christmas present for me...my birthday is coming up in 12 days, so I'm hoping for it then... ;)
Glad you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! :)
Happy FF! :)
Those turkey cookies look fab!
I do have a flip and I love it.
WOw! You had an eventful few days!
The cookies look so delicious, New Moon rocked, and I so want a Flip!!
We made those cookies last year... they look so cute in pictures... and are yummy too! I had mumps as a kid myself... no fun. I'll say a little prayer for Luke. thanks for showing us the flip! Very cool.
I am so impressed with your cookie turkeys!
Good luck with the test results tomorrow (I'm guessing.) Thinking of you...
