11/3/10

Wednesday's winners!

We are blessed to live where the old meets the new.

Seriously.  It's such a small town feel (even tho we
are 20 miles from Atlanta), but we do have all of the
modern conveniences.  Read = Target, Old Navy
and Burger King, within 5 miles.  I love Kennesaw, GA!

And, this made me think...

No power = Silence, so...

Awesome sky!

That's a great photo. :)

I live in a similar scenario. It feels like country -- especially when you leave my neighborhood. But, then again, I am very close to all essentials -- same as you wrote -- so it has the best of both worlds.

Very cool pic!! I like the sound of your town...old meets new, small town feel with big town conveniences. Sounds a lot like where we live, except our conveniences are about 30 minutes away. Not too bad though.

Hope you're having a great week so far!♥

yup, out in the boonies, when bad weather hits + no power! We had these big dudes down the road from us before we moved here 17 years ago... most power is underground around here. thanks for linking up!

Love the photo!

Sometimes being without power and noise can actually be pleasant!

Gorgeous texture!

We used to go without power frequently when I lived in the middle of nowhere in England and also when we lived in Texas... now we live in the middle of a city in Germany, never had the power go out!

At our house it means hearing over and over "When's the lights coming back on?"

Oh Dina, this hit me today. I have no idea fully why other than looking at that very plain and beautiful photo and reading your words made me think of the 'old meeting the new' and how much I miss my Grandparents. I am just really missing my Grandpa something bad today. I want back the 'old' times of laughing and sharing with him, cooking in the kitchen, telling him my hurts and my stories, watching him love on my girls as they grew up, and seeing the love he and my hubby had for each other. Peter loved him like he was his Grandpa...I'm sorry I'm babbling...just a tough day. Missing Grandpa today.

Love you!!!

Love the photo. It's so nice to be able to drive to the "big" city if you want, but be far enough away to enjoy the "quiet" life! :))
