Our twin boys are fifteen, we lost our varsity catcher from the team unexpectedly a few games into the season, and they tossed one of our boys in from short stop with about an hours notice. He did so well, that the coaches told him he'll be catching for 3 more years. (they were just freshmen this year) They both caught some in their younger years, but it had been a while. It's very special for me as a mom to see them play as pitcher / catcher. Love these photos! They grow so quickly.
My boy always wanted to play catcher in his baseball years. Unfortunately baseball was not his thing as he just didn't really grasp so of it. He loves and excels at basketball now.
Loved your post and photos. My son pitched from age 7 through a four-year career at the University of Arkansas. Now that he's living and working in the "real" world, I have to get my baseball "fix" through others' eyes--such as yours. Great post!

My brother always played catcher. And yes, he does have some knee issues...but not terrible ones.
And he loved that position.
=)
Great shots, Dina!
I love the image on your new header. :)
Love it Dina! Love to watch kids be fierce playing sports. Hoping those knees stay good and flexible. I'm voting for you everyday, friend!
Great shots!!
Way to go Sam! Catchers are pretty awesome and it's so great to watch a child excel and love what they do!
I think it's the most difficult of all of the positions Dina. So much responsibility rests on the catcher's shoulders. Yay Sam!
What a nice promotion...this is a very hard position to play. You have to be so proud.
Isn't it fun watching them having fun!!
Play ball!
fun edits for this.
I think I liked the last one the best. Great shots and fun edits.
Looks like he's really enjoying being the catcher. You've captured some great shots of him. I liked the B/W shot a lot.
Hi Dina,
Your son looks great in a uniform! Wonderful photos that he can look back on.
Lovely photos of your son, great captures !
Nice week,
Sylvia
Growing growing starting new things, exploring life, all good: makes for a proud mum. :)
Love the editing.
Take care. x
Love the black and white. I played catcher in softball as a child and I don't have knee problems, so maybe he won't. Have a blessed day!
Fun times, Dina! I know what you mean about the knees, I can't remember doing anything to deserve mine ;)

Nothing better for young ones than sports. Teaches so many good things. He is cute as can be. I know you are proud of him.
Blessings
I'd just like to be able to get up without using my hands when I'm in the squatting position!
That is awesome. Great photos!
Terrific shots proud mama!

I've got a bad knee, too and I think the same thing all the time. Ouch, that's gonna hurt in 30-40 years! LOL
good job to your little man!
What great shots! It's like I'm at the game too... Thank you for joining in 'Rurality Blog Hop #23' Hope to see you next Wednesday for #24...
